Explore Equine Massage

Each session is unique and is dictated by your horse in that moment. Before we begin, I will ask about:

  • General health and health history

  • Recent activity level

  • Changes in behavior

  • Sore or sensitive areas

  • Goals in and out of the ring

These questions will help me formulate a plan and you can expect 60-minutes of expert attention.

My most common requests are described below but each session is customized to your horse.

  • The Sporthorse

Help your equine athlete compete at the top of their game with a session focused on maintaining or increasing performance. These techniques maintain muscle health, improve flexibility and can help prevent injuries. I will tailer my work to match your horse’s activity level and training schedule. Specialized sessions, called pre and post-event, are perfect for show season.

  • The Golden Girl (or guy)

A session just for seniors! Let me pamper your older equine by focusing on techniques that improve the immune response and decrease muscle tension. Regularly scheduled sessions allow me to monitor your horse over time, with the goal of preventing chronic issues. Massage can also reduce boredom and give your senior something to look forward to.

  • The Skeptic

If your horse is new to bodywork or skeptical of life in general, this is for you. I will listen to their feedback and slowly make progress toward regular bodywork. I am likely to start with a grooming session to earn their trust before moving to gentle techniques designed to release myofascial restrictions. Your calm presence will be an important part of each session.

  • The Old Hand

This session focuses on horses who know the drill. If they regularly receive bodywork, we can jump right in and focus on the areas that need the most support. Maybe I’ll stick to tried & true techniques or maybe I’ll try something unique on this bodywork professional. Simply picture your horse clipping themselves into the crossties and asking for the usual.

  • The Recess Reset

Give your school horse a class to look forward to. This session is a love note to the horse who totes around multiple riders per week without breaking (much of) a sweat. These techniques release endorphins and help decrease recovery time between lessons. Plus, I can design a plan specific to that week’s lesson. Your star pupil earned this A+ bodywork session!

  • The Short & Sweet

Sometimes a quick tune-up is all you need! This 35-minute session is intended for the horse who could benefit from routine bodywork and the owner who could benefit from an affordable price point. I will focus on a few key areas to maximize our time. The S & S is available to horses within a 15-min. drive of 98008. Beyond that, it is available to multiple horses at one barn. Grab a friend!
